The Tarot is a subject that provokes both curiosity and trepidation in people’s minds. Over the last few decades it has received more attention than it has in centuries—more decks have been produced, more books have been written—
But what is the Tarot really and how can it serve you?
First of all, the Tarot is not a fortune-telling device as commonly thought. You can think of it as a way to look at yourself, someone else or a situation with powerful “glasses” and really “see” what’s going on and from there make better choices about your future. It is a way to look deeply within and see the truth. In a pure sense, it is “divination” or sitting with Spirit and having a conversation.
However, the Tarot, as represented by the 78 cards of a Tarot deck, is not easy to interpret for the uninitiated. It takes some practice and some time to absorb all the symbols.
Join Kirk and Donny for a four hourclss in which you’ll learn by acting out the cards so that learning becomes a "felt" expereince.
Please note:
We suggest that you have a a Rider-Waite Tarot deck*. (Although there are many hundreds of tarot decks, please buy the Rider-Waite version. Pictures of some of the cards are at the top of this page)
