Dr. Kirk Prine, is a transformational teacher, a healer, an integrative bodyworker, teaching Reiki Master, Director of Flesh & Spirit Community, abundant life coach, conscious activist and author of Erotic Body Prayer: Pathways to Pray Through the Body and Build Ecstatic Community. For seventeen years, Kirk was a psychotherapist directing a counseling center for LGBT people. His work of blending his training in counseling, spirituality and somatic/erotic work has been pioneering and visionary for a new consciousness. His work "The Missing Thread to an Abundant Life" now includes all genders and sexual orientations.

Dr. Prine has a B.A. in Theology, with a focus on healing practices across many spiritual traditions; a M.Ed., and Ed.D. in counseling, specializing in behavioral medicine, sexuality and group work; and a CMT with training in Swedish/Esalen massage, Jin Shin Do acupressure, rebirthing, Deep Tissue massage, Amma (a Japanese massage therapy), bodywork for people facing life threatening illness, and sexual healing work as a sacred intimate. Dr. Prine is trained in energy work, emphasizing therapeutic touch, and attuned as a Traditional Reiki Master.

Prior to practicing in the Bay Area, Dr. Prine spent 17 years as a psychotherapist. His practice for queer people specialized in addictions/recovery (family dysfunction, chemical and sexual). Clinically trained as a sex therapist and trauma and grief counselor his work prepared him well for his roles which followed.

During that period he was also the co-director of the Healing and Recovery Workshops, Inc., where he co-facilitated weekly groups on alternative healing and complimentary therapies. For six years he served as adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati, teaching complementary therapies as they relate to HIV. Dr. Prine served on the faculty of the East Central AIDS Education and Training Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. His background, training and experiences of spirit may help you find the missing thread to an abundant life.

As an integrative bodyworker, Dr. Prine has pioneered new models for erotic spiritual practice. His practice has empowered many queer men around the world to be lovers of their bodies and souls, and to create intentional erotic and spiritual community through body-mind-spirit integration. The call for queer men's community now has developed into the Flesh & Spirit Communities in San Francisco and Melbourne Australia.
